Alfons Mucha and Gustav Klimt

Posters and Masterpieces; eroticism finally escapes to the surface of the cultural consciousness again, in some form.

Alfons Mucha - Czech Beauties

Alfons Mucha was a native Czech whose sensual paintings are easy to relate to pin-up sexuality. His models have a goddess-like beauty and presence, often looking the viewer straight in the eye as if in a seductive challenge.

Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt began focusing primarily on the female as his subject in the 1890's and his passionate, fiery redheads are particularly known for their eroticism.

I saw some of Klimt's paintings in Otawa Ontario - they are mesmerising. in fact on my blog I use "Goldfish" as my avator...

I have prints of several - one beside me now....

Yeah, I love Klimt's work as well...There's such an earthy, mysticism and at the same time a surreal otherworldliness....I don't know how to describe the paintings. They are just incredible. We should write poems based on a particular Klimt painting. That would be inspiring....C

Cool idea.... the kiss??

The kiss would be perfect. What more potent symbol could we ask for and that piece is so gorgeous. I'm up for it, even if my brain is warped. Tee hee.
