Rewarding the Artist or An Artist's Reward

moooooo....

Let minions love their sycophants,

the dullard's wife, serves bland,

her husband's nightly praise, each course-

the man of taste disdains,

his tongue sharp as a knife,

the cow cries when cruel truth demands divorce.

None own what genius thinks,

but brilliance makes to mind,

delighting in each name's creation, bright,

each light shines out,

I know the stars!

my moon writes night-

there worship lies,

but darkness, shadows stab,

reward; pain's scars.

Let all close eyes

and cut away what sleeping blinds,

no finding might conclusion's worth assure,

but question mediocrity,

interrogate, all issue claiming

source and cause is pure.

hmm.... I like this, but it seems disconected to me somehow.  The first half and the second half almost seem like two different trains of thought.

Could be that the first is more structured and the second more free flowing?

Yeah, you make some good observations, Shan. I'm wondering if it's because the third stanza speaks so literally and directly to the subject whilst the preceding stanzas don't. I dunno. The rhythm of the piece is weird because I do that sometimes just to see what effect it has. Surprisingly, it usually has a weird effect...hehehehe...Thank you so much for giving me honest feedback. I appreciate it more than I can tell you....C
