It Must Have Been the Tacos

A different take on the cliche "The Lightning Flashes"

As he strolled purposefully
Stale taco breath belch
Heartburn acetous  attitude

Storm skies pelt acrid drops
Of singed molecular charges
Olfactory assault response

He puddle stepped oblivious
Under breath muttering
Lost in acrimonious revery

When blinding flicker daggers
Costumed creator alarms
Too late to move flattened

He stumble arises
In front of "The Lightning Flashes" sign
Above a dimly lit store front

A cynical scowl wilts the olive branch
As He slaps open the door
He turns a sickly gray pallor and stares

There wax figure perfect
Stands a round be spectacled boy
Bat and ball ready

A surreal smile highlights
Single motion wings
A Ted Williams Baseball

Instinctive hand mitt reacts
As the ball pops a crimson crack
Two curved fingers red seams caress

Grass stained orb returned wrist whip
To a gleeful spectre
Repeated at least a gross

Angry lips part upward, upward
As the last pitch leather smacks
He turns to leave amid mutual laughter

Awakened he smiles puddle drenched
Two fingers curled red seams arched
'Round a grass stained Ted Williams baseball

1972 Sky Blue Hornet

The AMC Hornet was manufactured by American Motors from 1970 to 1977.

Our beginning is reflected
With the smiling you
Mini dress leaning
Against A 1972 sky blue Hornet

Those apparition pale blue green eyes
Laughed with an Irish wild passion
That spoke to me for hours on end
Entranced and captured all at once

Restlees thunder under my skin
From moment one that we met
Flash fire romance and connection
Conflicted demanding and confused

I loved the softness
Earnest compassion and Brilliant intellect
Boisterous pursuasive gonna get
What I want attitude

And I watched the tail lights
On a country narrow road
As I followed fast
A 1972 Sky Blue Hornet

Sunset Coalesce

Two separate sunsets treated as one

Sol's broad brush strokes
From her pastel pallet
Uniquely blend
TeaRose, Misty rose and Peach
Contrasted by Vermillion, and amber gold

Glistening naiades
Stroke shimmering wavlets
Glimmer Glitter diamond sparkles
Nymphet Hypnotic entrance
Sensual reverie embrace

Sol passion smoldering
Burns the sky
Orgasmic spreading Russet Orange glow
As she descends below the trees

Naiades cascade their misty steam
Glassy calm as sol's shadow
Glistens a golden path
Where heaven's bedroom awaits them

Ultramarine

she went to the same highschool but not at the same time. We began corresponding based on a reunion website. She is an art teacher and was a dormant writer. She is writing again.

Ultramarine blue clear hue
Large translucent orbs

Reflective and Expressive
Haunted and Joyous

Gilded silken tresses
Adorn with symetric allure

Elements of uncertainty
Transmitted in certainty

An Awakening of words
Flooded and subordinated

Revives hidden talents
Of passionate word verse

Witnessed and Observed
Connected by chance

Whispers of empathy
Filtered too and fro

Observed quietly
Through Ultramarine glow

Wildman and The Sheriff

I have two Peingnese one a white two year old male one a red haired 8 year old female. This is what they do.

She's got six gun jaws snappin
Silken red hair
Pink bandana flappin
And sheriff gonna getya stare

He's a ear pullin finger grabbin
White haired black eyed dervish wild child
Racing with the throttle gunnin
While wearin a I ate the piece of pie smile

She guards ever door
Hears every sound
Makes sure he's not being a boor
Elvis toothy snarl poised to bound

He's a nascar running wildman spinnin
As he Skids on every corner
With that play with me wild eyed grin
Whilst churnin in turn three paws worn

She shortcuts to turn two
Smacks him in the qtr panel
Rides him to the wall with a wicked chew (On top of course)
Gnashing behave you worthless spaniel

He cowers pantin hard suppine
Gets up runnin to turn four
Racin for the finish line
Leavin the sheriff on the floor

She gets up puts it in reverse
And heads him off from the other side (She cheats)
They collide full speed and convulse
She's a grabbin for his hide

He jumps over her high
Reaching for his favorite place
Square on his mama's thigh
While she rubs white fur from her face

Kaleidoscope Surprise

Loosely based on the book "The Secret Garden". It is one of my all time favorite books.

Meandering aimlessly through the desolate estate
As a monkey chasing a winsome dream
My boot caresses the dangling ivy overgrown
Over the wall towering
To reveal an anomaly, a door

The rusty door hinges grudgingly open
Another trek through a garden arbor
As I grip the Camera
A cynical smirk adorns my face
Expectation of an ordinary scene

My dragon's breath warmed by morning coffee
Smokes with the wind chill from the mountain breeze
As I enter, the brilliant Kaleidoscope of colours
takes me by surprise

Excitement fills every fiber
As the camera clicks shot after shot
Overpowering images fill every frame
Each Rare as a perfect wine
Until it all is captured
So the secret can be shared

Obsidian

Piece of obsidian
Forged Volcanic child
Nonpareil

Razor Clinical instrument
Disguised behind her smile
Mirrored brown gemstone eyes

Arrowhead direct
Pyrogenic as volcanic creation
Yet clinical cool

Obsidian smooth
Product of past eruptions
Noticeabley absent

Her macuahuitl is sheathed
Edges smoothed
as Obsidian

Twist in the Wind

I fell, broke my wrist I had surgery, and I was a dumbass for being on the ladder in the wind with no one holding it.

35 mph winds
Rattle tree limbs
Whisk away water spray
From Power spray window cleanse

Eight foot A frame ladder
Clambored to stream dormer dog houses
Wish washing away dirty remnants

Multiple water falls expose
Gutters debris filled
Rubbish hidden from view

Simpleton climbs higher
Trash clearing fantasy
And no ladder holder

Go one step higher
Click yes or no
Shoulda clicked no

As Wind Twist rotate and tipple
Fall from grace

Splattering hard
Knocked glasses askew
Joint crooked

Stagger door opens
In shock announces
"I think I'm hurt"

Doctor's office drive fumes
Professional mouth's spews
"It appears broken"
While signing
A wrong handed xray order

I Twist in discomfort
As the ladder that turned
and wind gusts disturbed
Stasis of comfort consumed

And I am angry at my own stupidity

That Smile

She just graduated High school

I saw again
where the end Is the beginning
and the last is the first
That Smile

Seems like its always
Been a perpetual ornament
Haranging the observer
To notice youthful innocence

That smile exudes natural warmth
Empathy for emotions paraded
In chaotic storms destruction

That smile presents natural ease
When a honey brown boy swings
With joy in her arms

That smile appears even
When pain is manifested
In the direst of events

That smile with a graduation gift
Held center jump high
Grinning even bigger she grabs

While the last is the first
The ending is the beginning
That smile

Wine Tasting

Let the taste be your guide

Let the nectar caress my lips
Tease my tongue
As it pours from the vessel

Tart, flavorful and strong
Round and full
Bold and sensual
Warm and enticing

It envelopes my being
With its essence

Urges, wanton crave more
Than the encounter allows
Until I decide to taste again.
