I am not going to run a Marathon

My blog recording the highs and lows of training for the Great North Run - a half marathon to take place on September 30th 2007

Pete and I are going to run the Great North Run at the end of September. If enough people sponsor us to do so we will raise silly amounts of money and perhaps it will go some way towards finding a cure so that one day families like ours will not go through the same long grieving of watching someone they love fading away, losing all dignity and even identity.

	Why I am doing this - To raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, and because of my Dad and his family.
	Less than 36 hours to go - Why, despite the lack of training I will still take part in the Great North Run. (PS I have written permission to use the elephant logo)
	Twelve Weeks to go - On bus travel, dreaming and the runners high
	Seventeen weeks to go - Some planning but not much actual running
