Sophia Casts a Line

Searching blind, I hunted signs and
red through lines of leather binds till
souls unwind. I prey divine, sip
sanguine wine beneath star shine as
mortal minds commune a crime but
rather find a metered rhyme. It’s
truth sublime when in just time all
things align in Her design.

Um... you realise this is PERFECT meter?

And very neat as well.   The embedded rhymes, the wonderful rhythm, it's all very Celtic sounding and... well... rather perfect actually.

Do you mean "read through lines" at all, or are you playing on the hunting/blood idea?  I am intrigued by the notion of communing a crime... and I actually can't think of a single suggestion.

It worked?!?  Then big, wonderful, juicy props to you, Leanne!!!  Something you said must have clicked somewhere along the way.  The words, the sounds, just kept coming in pieces through out the day.  Thank you so much.  You're a wonderful teacher.

The 'red' is a play on words.
