011 Poetry Pusher

A ditty provoked by conversation about being pushed to do poetry

I am a poetry pusher
It's poetry I push.
You can read it in the bathroom
you can read it on the bus
You can read it in the open
You can read it secretly
If ever you want poetry
then just you come to me

I am a poetry pusher
I've lines of the best kind
Forget the junk you had before
Mine's quality, you'll find.
Don't stay with second rate
Or rob your local library.
Don't buy your stash from Anstey
You just come direct to me.

I am a poetry pusher
I can't hide it any more.
I'm addicted to my habit
And I haven't found a cure.
Just try it once my darling.
Just taste a sprung spondee
One stanza on your tongue,
And you'll come right back to me.
