008 Grandma drinking Gin

Yet another little willie, this time about grandma and dad (and utilising an eyepoke specially for Stephen)

Grandma, feeling rather pissed
Aimed for dad with both her fists.
But, as she was rather lame
She wacked him with her zimmer frame.
The eyepoke, though mishappenchance
Shocked Dad, so he wet his pants.

All this clearly goes to show
That Gran should leave the gin alone.
Or better, stay away from Dad
Until he's feeling much less mad.

HA!   Very amusing

Nice, Pags!

Only line 2 gives me real pause, how about something like:

"aimed for Dad with both her fists"?

I do love "mishappenchance".

Pags - on June 4 2007

Thank you Leanne - a very useful suggestion. Much better.

This made me grin and giggle, Pags! I like Grandma already! Nothing like sharing a good family brawl to break the ice...  (the better to cool the gin with, m'dear)

OK, I give up...What's a "zimmer frame".
And when you say "willie", are we using it in the British sense of the term? And if so, what the hell does it have to do with the poem?
Just a few questions.

I can translate queen's english to everyone else's english.  A Zimmer frame is a walker.  And a little willie is a morbid style of poetry that emerged around the turn of the 20th century, as little willie was the catalyst for someone's unfortunate end.  Pags, you do these really well.  Really funny, and totally NOT pc.

Anstey - on June 5 2007

The wille style are those poems that go..

"Willie was a little boy,
but willie is no more
what willie thought hawaain poi
was bial from a nasty whore"
