I had to laugh at this piece, though the title (AND subtitle, which I also like btw lol) suggested something along those lines I didnt see it coming. lol nice one, I like. edit: infact probably my favourite poem of the week so far :p

Thank you so much. I was sitting at a table at Cici's Pizza while my grandson played, all of a sudden this verse came to my head and I have no clue WHY! I couldn't leave until I wrote it down....

I wish we could get more commenting going on here, not just my work but on evereyones! This is fun to read though isn't it?

ehh well if my interpretation of it is correct anyway lol :x (Im not english enough to really get the meanings in peoples poems regardless of how blatent :P)
that of "a strange little piece, without" (some delluded internet loner). Who lives in a misguided, ill-informed fantasy world of dissatisfaction and selfgratification. Which at the time seemed quite clever anyway :x
ehh I guess theres the stillborn interpretation but the clues dont really seem to fit it

Well, my friend, I had absolutely no meaning in mind when I wrote this one. I was sitting at a pizza place with my son and grandson while they were playing video games. Just we started getting ready to leave, this verse started going round and round in my head and I felt compelled to write it down before I could get up and leave. That is why I called it a strange little piece, the way it came to me. I have read it many times and get different meanings from it at different times myself. I believe it was meant to give different meanings to different people
OR
I could just be a nut case!!

I've looked at this one a number of times - very appealing and ambiguous. I like the contrary juxtaposition of all these images without immediate meaning. It really could be anything, which I think is the strength of the poem. I chuckled when I read what you said about the poem coming to you while you were watching your grandson play at the pizza place.
As far as comments on the site, or individual poems, that stuff comes and goes. Have fun while the fun is happening. As long as people are writing, that's the key. And you've been very prolific lately Rene. Its been an an inspiration.

Yeah Derma and I just strarted back to school today but I am taking advanced poetry this semester and some of my friends from class are going to join the site so we can workshop together on here! They are a fun group and the prolificness came from the challenges thrown out by Pags and Leanne....just got me to going and I can't stop!!!!
