The Bridge

Amaranthine Fetish

I lay crumpled
A bloody mess at Sister's altar
I had lain there for long
Yet none knew
Until you
A fellow architect
My Spurious Being
You gradually dismantled
Taking care not to sunder
Tended the tattered wings of Legion
The charred remains of my heart
I gave my heart in thanks
I see it now
It bleeds rich
Once more vibrant in your hands
Glimpses over time
They alluded
Yet still you surprised this Daemon
Your brutal way
It cut to the crux
No sparring
Yet in tenderness
You sliced me open
Delving into the shadows
Drawing out the pain
Exciting me
With me
Allowing me to trust
Cleansing the rust that was my love
Throughout this I did not flinch
My love for you did not wane
It strengthened
Wavering at times
But coming back convinced
Until eventually
You crossed over
Trusting me more
Seeing that I care for your mind
And yes
That I desire you
So you traverse the abyss
Fall into my bloodied arms
And love again

'cleansing the rust that was my love'...simply an awesome line, I love that, it evoked some memories and visions that I could relate to. Though I am sure not in the same way as you, still, it touched me on a level deep inside.
