Falling off the Edge

It would be easy
to leave you,
but windows are complicated
beasts.

Tear them open,
spilling
fall
from the edge;
upright and oval
panes
heat the air.

Skip a few words
or seconds off a minute;
move forward,
move forward.

Looking inside?
Still harder
than looking back.
Try again....

Goodness gal! This one I had to reread several times. That's because I always regarded looking back as more difficult than looking in. Finally I realized your meaning. Nicely done! And the difficulty in my understanding might be because a) I'm slow; or b) slow on Sundays only; or c) because this is very intriguing - which makes it more interesting.

I also like your choice of italic font. It fits the run-on thought processes. I can suggest no improvements.

Very nice.

I need to see if it makes more sense when i'm not so tired. It is, immediately, outside my ability to undersatnd.

Thank you, gentlemen......btw, if it made sense on first read, then I would be disappointed.......I was trying to be creatively obtuse......alcuin, glad you saw the meaning with the "looking inside/looking back".......wasn't sure if anyone would......Kat
