Which is worse?

Ramone singing children jumping naked on the sofa screeching "twenty, twenty, twenty-four hours to go . . .  I wanna be sedated. . . "

Or the mother watching them and wishing somewhat that they were?

made more perfect by the way due to the fact that they're your children and not mine.

HAHA...I think Mom wishing they were is the perfectly natural reaction. I used to tell mine I was going to duct tape their mouths shut. Kidding of course. Until the day all three of them came out of their bedrooms with tape on their mouths with lips drawn on the tape. I decided I should stop threatening them with that.

...but what do I know?

Parenting seems to be pretty simple....until they develop opinions. That's when it gets tricky. Can we just keep them opinion free until 19 or so?

I often regret teaching my kids to talk.

its worse when they get to be 15 and then shut up completely.  really.

concerning the original question - I'd be more inclined to jump on the couch and sing with them.  after all, its the ramones.

I am with Derma. Get on the damned couch and jump with them. It IS the Ramones. If that song doesn't work for you... call the KKK and have them take your baby away.

This image is sticking with me and making me smile...

There are worse things than smiling and babies singing the ramones... once, i tripped and had a rake pierce my hand.

Your kids have class.  Last night we had 3-year-old Elizabeth singing (yelling) "Boom Boom" by John Lee Hooker.  Which is quite ok... the other favourite is "Frankly Mr Shankly" by The Smiths... I have no idea why but I'm not too unhappy about that
