Dust If You Must (addendum to an email forward)

Dust if you must, but know if you do
the people who matter care more about YOU
than fuzzy dust bunnies, crumbs on the floor,
a ring in the toilet, or prints on the door.

Dust if you must, but don't take too long:
more time spent on cleaning means less left for song,
tea parties, swimming, hide-n-seek, and crafts,
less time for giggles, sticky grins, and laughs.

Dust if you must, but feel no guilt if you don't
because munchkins and rugrats simply won't
stay as they are: they'll grow up too fast --
unlike those dust bunnies, childhood won't last.
