there's more than one way to eat a Reese's or skin a cat
I have no desire to keep
a skinless feline, its pelt,
or chocolate-covered peanut butter.
I'd rather eat it, wear it
on my thighs -- the Reese's I mean,
not the messy Chinese food -- than hide it
out-of-reach in the cabinet
above the fridge.
I prefer to stuff it whole
in my mouth and silently
let it melt away while
crossing my fingers til
I'm through that the phone
won't ring.
