Ions and Arithematic

New. Discuss.

Lullabies in your sparking eyes
Light shreds shooting space between us
While you’re driving home
Like a broken arrow

We’re dressed in gold
The less you know
Like oil separating from the waves
Don’t break the surface

I’m writing you in words that fade to white
Falling through the paper
(ions and arithmetic)

we’re dressed in gold
I forgot to bring your mind along
And let you know

And while the world expands
We hide between the air
Like breath is forfeit
Please shine those lullabies and break the clouds
That dampen mine

Retreating from the pressure gauge
We run in orbit
Last call for the roulette ball
We crash like hammers
On brilliant tarnished gold

Some good imagery here - I particularly like that last couplet "We crash like hammers/On brilliant tarnished gold" and the image of words "falling through the paper"....Rgds., Alan.
