Remnants

Never thought I’d see the day
My body sicker than my mind
Each time I sneeze I know
I prefer trembling beneath the bedclothes
Even my stomachs had enough
Last night I coughed
I’m sure it poked out from my crotch
This scar inside my throat
Is it coagulant
Or where the tongue depressor poked
So if you see me doubled up
It just means I’ve sneezed
Give me an uppercut
It’ll help to relieve
Hit me hard enough
You may bring sweet release
