Soiled
That is how it leaves me
Surrounded by the rot of death
Decay is the feed
The bile of worms
Foetid and slick
Stain me
As weeds encroach

Pristine
Structure and technique
Interaction of chemicals
An austere environment
Clean
Pure nutrients
The beauty of orchids

In the end
It is the strength of rules
As opposed to natures traditions
That has given true beauty
Restraint has overcome unbridled lust
A single orchid
Has brightened this home
