Land Fill

Interminably Consternation

A blistered sun
Takes me away
Through a shattered window pane
This sodden mattress
Rusted skin folds
It sloughs off and fades to grey
I see through eyes of matted red
What she did to me today
So if I should die
It won’t be a waste
For my final words
Her soul will take
Then I could lie
Never live again
In sorrow
I’m manic
‘Coz it’s convenient
Much less trouble
I’m a man
Without a soul
Between me
And the rubble
