Foetal Decision

Stigmata Diabolic

It was in the early part of the third trimester

That was when I became aware

I knew all my mothers thoughts
Her love

Her dread

Her loathing

I soon realised
That I knew my father also

How he feared for me
For the world they were bringing me into

I could smell the stench of death around me

This world of man

This doom which they were bringing me too

Don’t get me wrong
I knew my parents would love me

Though they could not help but worry

The choices were difficult
Expensive

For them at least

Over the next few weeks
I absorbed all

Collated

Analysed

Came to a conclusion

What other choice is there

Now I am almost finished

It’s hard to gnaw through the umbilical without teeth
