a little love here

The romping feet of shrew I believe,
like war and faith, my father's voice
and questions, never answers

(This is not the shuffle in the walls..)

I watched my lawn for two decades

and rejoiced for each seed eaten then

gazed at each tiny gray-brown corpse

and otherwise, prayed very little

for their souls.
