i gargled this morning
until every bacteria
in my mouth was dead

you said, "they're gone

i spoke this evening
with your parents
until my mouth was dead

you said,"they're gone
you can stop now

i stood atop a pyramid
naked in noon sun
until I charred to ash

you said,"he's gone

he's gone."

and so, i stopped.
