Covert War

Through the diffuse light of deaths eyes
I amble towards an end
Portentous glimpses decry my aim
Scouring the rabid thoughts of my mind
These clawed hands grapple enemies
Wielding my invective
As my chitinous flesh
Ignored the barbs limply flung at me
With a friendly smile
Bloodied and true
And with a feral laugh
I ingratiate myself amongst them
By this simple act of friendship
I will wreak bloody vengeance
