The Darkness Of A Day

Amaranthine Fetish

Ignored you it seemed
I had too
To see you
Truly gaze upon you
That would have changed things
What we have now
Would not exist
Believe me when I say this
Ignore you?
I glimpsed all that you did and said
That night I died
For I knew
It took a while
But things ended
So I knew you were there
Do you not recall my Trembling
As that Stolen Kiss we shared
That same Faultless Tremor
Felt here before an Ersatz Fire
I am sure you knew
You relished the game
As did I
And now I find a truth
I was not the only hunter
That you too were seeking
Adding to a list
Ego boosting?
No matter
I believe
For in your voice
It is true
Your eyes too tell of this
They lock on me
As I return the gaze
A true love returned
I think I have a ways to go
Do not be wary of this
Follow my lead
Live with what we have
It will go where it goes
Meanwhile
Recline in my arms
Let me embrace you
As you tell me more
When finally you sleep
I shall ease you
With tales of my mind
