Wanting Naught

Do I stop
Tell her I don't wish to hurt her?
I see what it has done to her before
I know that pain and would not inflict it
And yet
She has already said
"I'll only hurt you"
Aaah such Sweet Suffering
I am alive with possibilities
Pregnant from her care
Stop this?
Put an end to this profusion of words
This emoting that I do
Destroy my new found sadness
A sadness not centred on the self?
No
I'll continue to love
For this I know
She does care for me
So I am ahead
For love asks nothing in return
