Hunter or Hunted

Knees

A tigress on the hunt
She circles her prey
Watching every movement
Observing every mood

Patient, she sits and waits
Relaxed yet every sense screaming
Muscles coiled and ready to strike
She makes her move

Hunter and hunted begin the dance
Both knowing the end
Playing their parts out
To see the hunger satisfied

The tigress plays coy
Her prey makes a pre-emptive strike
Her neck his target
Low is her resistance

Her prey assumes her stance
Like a tiger, full of lusty energy
His subtle torture of her flesh
Leaves an indelible scar in her mind

With wild eyes
The tigress retaliates
Pouncing astride her prey
A violently ecstatic assault

She teases her prey
Biting and clawing
Marking him as belonging
Then devours him

The frenzy over
The tigress preens
Observing the scarred
Shattered remnants of her prey

Weeks pass and the tigress still recalls
Such torture and undreamed of pleasures
How her mind has been marked
As her prey turned hunter

The blissful tiger
Torn, battered, hers
Smiles at the memory
Growling contentedly
