Tempest

Spurious Being

I stood at the shores of my mind
Illuminated, eyes blinded by the sunlight of her eyes
A thing of dark, nebulous beauty
As her storm cloud neared my shore
Gathering her winds and sending them to me
They plucked at my skin
Aroused me from my torpor
Her breath swirls within my mind
Caressing and undressing
As she moved closer
I could see the electricity within
It broiled and coloured her surface
Sending my senses reeling
My mind a dust devil
Twisted by her strange beauty
Dark, deep scars I bare
Exposed as her winds increased
The coat tails of my mind flapping
Whipped up by the breeze
Revealing the cul de sac where I hide
Her storm front collided with me
Embraced me in a torrent of tears
Ripped from my eyes
As her words
Cyclonic
Gouge the truth from my mind
I am lifted up
As the storm washes over me
I am flotsam, awash in her vortex
The winds soften
Become soothing
I lie here now
In the eye of the storm
Trembling
Mind & body battered and bruised
Awaiting this temptress's return
With hope and trepidation
I survey the damage
The flesh of my mind exposed
By her caressing yet bitter winds
Lashed by the torrent of lust awoken
Cleansed by the downpour of her care
Whilst deep inside
That sodden remnant of my love
Hangs limp and tattered
Held in the death grip
Of a surrendering
Yet unbeaten man
