Her Lovely Man

Spurious Being

I keep walking into things
Only one, maybe two things
On my mind
Suffering my disease
Shuddering my way through life
I peer beyond the veil
Yet do not step beyond
For I am apathetic
I'll just linger on
Most don't see this
I'm "Mr Funny Guy"
What would they say if I opened up
Or went beyond hoping to die?
What words could they offer?
None that I can think
For THEY are part of the reason
THEY pushed me to the brink
Yet one made me peer over
Held my gaze on the dark precipice
Showed me things I dreaded
Things on which I'd dreamt
We've both shared bitter lessons
Mine at the point of a knife
She has a better grasp on things
A better grip on life
So as I'm peering inwards
She holds onto my hand
Hoping I'll keep searching
Hoping I'll understand
Well, I'm sick of living
But I'm not sick of her
So I'll keep searching
For her Lovely Man
