If You

I will awake one morning
And watch as you lay tired
I will see the sunrise
With you by my side

I will stand arms outstretched
Enfold you with my mind
You will sense my heart there
And hold me to your side

I will hold you darling
Until you've burnt up my life
I will always be there
To seek what you can't find

I will stare the sun down
If you want me to be blind
I will cut my tongue out
If you want me to mime

I will tend a garden
To give you just one rose
I will knit a blanket
If you say your cold

I will feed you manna
If you want to eat
I will be your cushion
When you want a seat

I will build a rocket
If you want to fly
I will be your sunset
When the sky's too bright

I will teach you loving
When you feel unkind
I won't change direction
If you won't change my mind
