More in Release the Hounds

Release candidate

I fat & short
then soft
then tall ...

each bridge once aloft
then not
then fall.

bespectacled diety stomps the life
of another dead man's half-loved wife

I brick & long
then tied
then steel

each tale dyed
then said
then real

Thanatos sputters a toothy wreath
then butterflies 'cross river lethe

I hand & tears
then sun
then well

each bridge a gun
then shot
then hell

little god creeps west to east
trust me, then you then them the least

then me
then you

retreat
retreat.

Don't release yet. Sit on it for another day or two. Believe me, I speak fro mucho bad experiences. In any case, 2 of your 3 2-liners rhyme; the 2nd doesn't, and that really sticks out. I love the "trust me, then you then them the least".
