I don't think my writing is comparable to like Lewis Carroll although I wish it was.

I doubt that Lewis Carroll's writing was as good as Lewis Carroll's writing - at least, not when he started. What I like about writing is that the possibilities for development are entirely unlimited.

It is one of fourty poems in a collection that I have been revising and updating. I'm posting them here to see what works and what doesn't. So far I've deleted 12 from my manuscript and added 3 new poems. I need to write more.
I like this poem because it is simple and it has a tongue-twisterness to it.

Yes, it rhymes, but it's rather simplistic. For some guidance, I suggest you read "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll. A child's poem should employ rhymes chosen from a writing level higher than the child's, but within his/her reach.
