Who

If I were you,
I wouldn't be me.
If you were me,
You wouldn't be you.
If you weren't you
And I wasn't me,
Who would be you
And who would be me?

Yes, it rhymes, but it's rather simplistic. For some guidance, I suggest you read "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll. A child's poem should employ rhymes chosen from a writing level higher than the child's, but within his/her reach.

I doubt that Lewis Carroll's writing was as good as Lewis Carroll's writing - at least, not when he started. What I like about writing is that the possibilities for development are entirely unlimited.

Ai-yi-yi it's not LC but it is interesting, and if it were part of a collection I think it would be a fun read for kids. I can envision myself reading this to my kids when they were younger.
