More in Shan's Crap (Shannon McEwen)

A Journey Unfinished

Within her vivacious hazel eyes
Skies open and the fair moon appears
Fear plays tag with precious invention
Questions form every other second

Beckoning her soft spoken fairy heart
Artfully woven with the knowledge of life
Rife with constant speculation
Elation wrestles with trepidation unknown

Alone she’ll discover the natural truth
Youths end will be her final test
Possessed of great strength of mind
Kindred spirits she will surely find

Behind the false walls and the pretty speech
Reaching beyond myriad of broken dreams
Schemes to take that which she sees
Belief in herself will be her deliverance

Beautiful... I do not know if this is the visualization that you were aiming for, but what I saw was a strong woman entering the autumn of her life.

I read it as a young girl soon to move through adolescence, but I like Babymoon's interpretation, too, since aren't we all a journey unfinished and unfolding . . . You almost have a connechlon(sp?), Shannon.  Did you give up on it?
