Someday In May - on May 16 2007

Have I mentioned that you are mildly brilliant? I only say mildly because I know you will argue with me otherwise. I could spend all day reading these over and over and it would probably take close to a week to comment individually on each one. So, I will give you one big (often gushy) comment here on this as a whole.

Your perspective amazes and confounds me. It leads me to believe this is much more telling of yourself than you might admit. There are a few that I struggle to see the correlation between your “title” and subject, for example, 14. degusto. To relate taste to maggots is beyond me. However, that is the beauty and genius of this.  Though these are laced with simplicity in thought in an Anstey kind of way, I find them to be quite profound. The recognition of inner struggle and acceptance of becoming, and being a man. But I find them to genderless, and touching on something universal. These are the things that make you, me, us human. The fact that you relish them and dig deeper into them is what makes a man.

Anyhoo….nice work. The flow was good and you imagery was strong….lol.

...but what do I know?

OOps. Put the comment here instead of where it belonged. Fixed that, and now I'll comment on this one.
Conceptually, it's one of the more interesting pieces. Provokes thought, but feels cold because of the rigid symmetry. Interesting. Apparently, the purpose of this and the rest of the collection was to write something similar to an early 18th-century structure. I think you effectively accomplished that, and further that about half the pieces would stand well on their own. This project must have taken a long time and a great deal of effort to complete.
Congratulations

I added a pdf of the whole thing to the prologue for easy download -- maybe that'll help.
