The Saint's Lullabye

I wish I could become a star. You could sit on your porch Some holy summer night, Whiskey in hand And look at me.

At twilight, I will be the only one Hanging from the moon A pendulum, Clicking back and forth, To the beat of the Platters, Playing on your A.M. radio.

Even if I go supernova, From where you are standing at the bottom of the bitterroots, the vast cradle of rock, It will take light years for me to fade.

i just want you to know, lorax, that this one touches me...
and has always and will continue to do so.
your love of saint g is shining through in this one and i adore that i get to see that love shine all around.
you are loved just as much as you love... if not more.
there would be no debutante without you!
the J & the R love you both.

mLa,

That would be one earth shattering lullabye (and a remarkably poignant send off if the volume is jacked during a 50s riff or a doo wop serenade).

Quite the moment in time...

Somehow, I think i missed this one completely. It very well might be my favorite of yours Ms. Prophet. It is transcendent.
