Ode to Extinction and Fat

...

I sing to thee of manatee
of fat, of wet and kind
I sing to thee of honesty
of hope, of life of time

Wallow and womp in delicate ballet
in lush in green deep everglade
on edge of ocean on edge of day
of grief, of lust.. man on display

I sing of thee O manatee
of your lost and broken dead
I sing of thee and the truly obscene
who laugh as waters run red

Wailing and weeping such harsh funeral rites
in lush in green everglade
by ocean side and endless night
of grief of lust.. man on display

I sing to thee O lost manatee
you fat happy sea cow
I sing to thee, O dear manatee
as you die and I sigh out loud

I sing to thee, soft and sadly
you kind dying out breed
The end is so near, but i loved you dear
How I'll miss you manatee
