Did you think that i would not notice
how you fell in love with me

even if you said nothing,
i know how eyes sing hymns
when hips sway
how voices peel like church bells
as indecent thoughts echo
through otherwise decent minds

Did you think that i would miss the ring
on your finger, the way you
have no panty-lines

even if you do nothing
i know how words are ordered
carefully to avoid truth
when lips glimmer like candles
how touches are avoided
like a collection basket
on the off-pay week

That's really good!

Yes I'm some kind of freak, as they all sit & stare w/ their hallow eyes ~ I'm just a girl, No Doubt

Oooh, I like this -- the "knowing" portrayed in the showing, the layers of veils and truths, the outing of what "decent" people work so hard to hide. I appreciate each tight and well constructed line, each crystal clear image, and am knocked out by the last three most original lines.

If we had a faves list, I'd add this one to mine.
