Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in Acceptance

shoulders

you stood bare shoulders
to me as you removed your bra
and set the alarm clock

i trace your body
with my eyes, from your arms
along the curve to the nape of your neck
where the kisses accumulate

along your shoulders
under your hair
down your spine
to your waist

at your hips
i stop

to imagine how my hands
will fit there
when I pull you close

and rest my cheek on your shoulder
and whisper the story of our love
in a loud hush of laughs and secrets
not shared because there is no language
for them.

when you kiss me
first on my chin
then down my neck to my chest

eventually you find your way
back to my shoulder
where you nestle in to rest for the night.

This is a very beautiful poem. It really sets a sensual mood. I have really enjoyed all your poems today Stephan.
