More in Fooling Around

huddled in fear over Global Warming in my sandwich

Nothing more offensive than the ignorance of folks who 'know'
I dare not wait for sunlight
for rain or wind or stars
the end is coming swift
some say the end is not so far

i dare not dream of cool breezes
or ice or love or snow
a man in tennessee decreed
he's the one that knows

i dare not sing of hope or love
of truth and angel's wings
there is no God, (though i think it odd)
just the heat that springtime brings

i dare not wait for hummingbirds
for a car, a word, a slave
life is bitter enough, he says
and he knows the only way

i dare not lust for tunafish
lest all the dolphins die
a man in a yellow coat has said
though i'm sure i don't know why

Rick says he likes and agrees with your statement " nothing more offensive than the ignorance of folks who "know". (me too) But important distiction... he says...responsible scientists always qualify and present findings. people who say the "know" don't do that. They just say their opinion as truth. Real scientists don't (that's a different kind of expertise) it has to do with solid research and findings that are always presented with qualifiers and context of experiment and testing.
