huddled in fear over Global Warming in my sandwich

I dare not wait for sunlight
for rain or wind or stars
the end is coming swift
some say the end is not so far

i dare not dream of cool breezes
or ice or love or snow
a man in tennessee decreed
he's the one that knows

i dare not sing of hope or love
of truth and angel's wings
there is no God, (though i think it odd)
just the heat that springtime brings
