Dawn in Montana

mmm goodmorning
Every star retired behind dawn's gentle flush
One last moment of silky sheet on velvet skin
Fingers desperate to hold foggy dreams atop
The ragged world's glistening new day then

"My heart, my heart, my dear beloved heart
You still sleep here beside cold water's edge
I rise, I rise, dear heart, I rise for you
And dance with fire upon this rocky ledge."

Thick brown coffee brewed o'er open flame
Sweet gruel accompanies on this naked peak
I sip and wait for you, my darling dreaming
Of last night's hot blankets cooled sweat sex reek

The penetration of holy does not disturb this
Joyful murk of fog and glass capped pool
Memories of our mountain escapades lay still
To teach passion to the too-meek silly fools

To come later when the sun is high along this path
"Goodmorning," your smile parades sheepishly
Towards my meager warm glistening unkissed lips
"Goodmorning, indeed," passes from you to me.

High above smokey mountains and cascades
Where red men once dwelled and sang and played
Where dances were danced, and sunsets displayed
Now quiet but for the passion of new love well made.
