More in Release the Hounds

breathing for a moment alone

This one is a complete mess. Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
in tender green valley by stream and long crags
soft water falls gentle, with memories of lost broken youth
the moss blankets hopeless, the trees hide cowering stag
cool chimes of the cascade protect old ears from old truth

small trout find the solace for which I've come to this spot
good dinner fine drink in utter silence and sweet clean
in churching white waters near the base of rough ragged rock
moments of holy in a chapel of wood i'm redeamed

in a tender green memory from a past I'd forgotten
hard water falls gentle, and cold sprays cross my face
the innocence long lost and regret's I've begotten
redemption and soft moss are all that's here in this pace

large trout find small ones, the crowd's now all here
their dinner's all gone now, don't worry -- death's near
