ben & jerry suck, but once... i loved them

i listened quietly
while they sat me in a dark room
to expound on their own wonderfulosity
the great care they have for cows,
and the environment

and of course,
their amazing cool wisdom
which they share in more than a dozen flavors.

Jejune at best was all I could muster
even in the tasting room
where strangers all around me
praised them.

Behind the factory
in a monument to past pints
of their glory
I was surprised to remember
they were special once
