just thinking about your love for me


insteading getting my fat ass
out of the big blue recliner
and walking over to the television
to change the channel
i spent five minutes pushing
the lucky seven button in hopes
that it would work one last time

after a thousand pushes
some terse and angry
some prolonged and anguished
but most just regular
and annoyed

i hit the six
and then the plus button
to make my way to TV nirvana
