Noah's Ark

the flood came down
from heaven today
... the birds just got up
and flew away
the waters flowed
til the earth was gone
whatever happened
to right and wrong?

i can't see them
they're just not here

the fire's burning
where my house used to be
... the dog's just barking
as I fall down on my knees
the inferno's raging
until there's only ash
how did this happen?
How did we crash?

i can see the light
and the blisters too

the winds are screaming
across the snowy peaks
... God might be listening
but I can't hear him speak
i'm too busy praying
begging for some hope

the world's cracked in two
... California's breaking
