More in Dregs & Other Unreadables

responding to critics

in my left hand is a turtle
snipsnapping airbites with malice
in his tiny green heart

in my right hand, I hold your right eyeball
squasquishing blindglares with hunger
in your tiny heart.

if you had a sense of humor
I'd steal it
and juggle.

for some reason this made me giggle, then snort milk from my cereal up my nose.  That really hurts by the way,

I appreciate this poem, it has great humoUr.

I enjoyed this very much also... but of course you should know I have a weakness for poems that use the word eyeball.

I have absolutely no sense of humour but a tremendous interest in turtles and their innards. I found the information about "the green heart" extremely enlightening. Thank you. Yours,C
