slowly under the backstairs
winter comes swiftly.

under clear blue skies

autumn red surrounding
sugar flowing out

leafless oak, maple and beech
yet, no rakes around.

the orange and pink turn blue
the moon still hovers.

leaves bright green shards of cheap glass
under cedar trees.

the thick bark smells clean and fresh

a lily pad sinks.
