Rapskallion

Rapskallion was the dream I dreamt
And long ago misspelled
Heaven was her middle name
And I sent her off to hell

Curmudgeon was my title
And dictator was my life
I stole her from her daddy
so I could have a wife

Indigent and lonely
Corrupt down to my core
She thought I was a poet
But I was nothing but a bore

Life went on a thousand years
And death crept towards my heart
I thought it very funny how
the end looked like the start

It's all a circle, maybe
Or perhaps a sudden fright
I find that only pain can bring
this sweet insidious delight.

So off to bed I go now
I'm off to find my way
passing down the road again
I have nothing else to say
