I noticed a piano
it was black
a high sheen glossy black
you know the kind with the fancy name embossed in gold on the front
that Nana wouldn't let you touch with sticky fingers?
it had all these white keys
perfectly clean
and I had that urge to stomp them with my fat fingers
but I didn't
i could hear Nana saying,
"Don't touch that, do you know how much it costs?
as if it'd break if I played it
that reminds me of you.
