Sa oooo nah

my eyes grow foggy just before the dawn
as the moments elude me, i wonder, can keep going on?
then the sun breaks through the mist up on the hill
it might not mean a thing, but I love it still
I sing these words as my heart aches inside of me
saa oooo nahhh kooo ayyyy o steeeeeee

when the sunlight softly crowns the hills of green
those words dance through my memory, but I don't know what they mean
the endless blue sky embraces me like a velvet sheet
until that fateful day, when my love and I should meet
I will sing these words as the wind whistles through the reeds
saa oooo nahhh kooo ayyyy o steeeeeee

the noon time brings clouds and all those empty words
I try to smile but I'm finding it hard to laugh at the absurd
till the breeze kisses me and fills me up inside
I still can't break a smile but there's one there in my eyes
As they sing these words anyone can see them sparkle silently
saa oooo nahhh kooo ayyyy o steeeeeee

across the plains, by the mountains, all across surf that roars
the sun and the moon dance rosy round the floor
then one awakes and heads right to the sky
the other is off to bed, and I often wonder why
are they singing to eachother as they pass above the trees
saa oooo nahhh kooo ayyyy o steeeeeee

embracing the stars on a cool and tender eve
I sit on my porch and hear the rustling of the leaves
the moonlight silver hides all the tears I shed
and the sparkling above me whispers in my head
I don't understand the meaning but it's everything to me
saa oooo nahhh kooo ayyyy o steeeeeee
