More in Dregs & Other Unreadables

finding her funny bone

the plastic watch grubbed my
eyes rubbed
my conscious mind
and the glabrous wrist
of the lovely lass
luxuriating in languid leisure

oddly,
hirsute I wondered:
if I had the time
would I find myself
detached, daydreaming
similarly depilated?

even
unaware of how the humerus
articulated by my paws
buried beneath the tepid ticks
of time and the secret

gold watch quartz
battered and batteried
blistering below
my slovenly shoddy sleeves

she's got no notion
of the motions of my myriad musings
and I no evidence of her appetence
for me... but a tick tick tick
nictate and a nod.
