Listen to the wind
It calls

Plaintive

Insistent

Urging me to join the chorus
A cajoling chaotic cacophony

Chittering

Or do I imagine it all

I think not

For I know what the wind says
As it flitters
Darts and whirls

It dances for me
Showing me the patterns
The underlying tympani
Mean and percussive
A recessive genome
Of rage

So my mind
It dances too
A pogo within my skull

Crushing the peace
Resurrecting hate

The wind

It whispers
