I am the shore

The place
Where detritus
Finds land

The very defining line

I resonate
As the tide of your life
Ebbs

You are waxen
When I am wan
Lost in orbit
A mere satellite
Drifting in the vastness

Of nothing

I know though
The truth of the matter

Your waves
Have gravitas

They draw in
The unsuspecting

They draw in

Me
