Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in Bigger than That

allusion to a moonrise

Oh wild moon, the goose is barking
and but for the loon, we are still the maddest.

Hail ye, every star, memory is that equinox that holds a hand
out to us all when we, with frosted toes, each fall

Oh wild moon, the skunk is laughing
and smiling raccoon, he knows all of our silly trash.

Hail ye, every star, memory is the solstice - the peace of winter
stark and kind and honest, a bare burn of ice and looming sun.

Oh Wild moon, you are the poet writing
and but for your heart, I would be the maddest one of all.
